Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use My Taste Shelf. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

You are responsible for your account activity, keeping credentials secure, and providing accurate information. Email/password and Google OAuth sign-in are provided through Supabase and Google. We may suspend accounts for abuse, legal risk, or security concerns.

Usernames, avatar images, bios, taste tags, and recommendations are public. Do not post private information, confidential information, or content you do not want indexed, shared, screenshotted, or viewed by others.

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant My Taste Shelf a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt your content solely to operate, secure, promote, and improve the service.

You may not post unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, violent, deceptive, privacy-invasive, or impersonating content. You may not scrape profiles, spam users, attack the service, bypass access controls, or misuse APIs.

We may remove content, restrict visibility, disable features, suspend accounts, preserve evidence, or report activity when reasonably necessary for user safety, security, legal compliance, copyright, privacy, or platform integrity.

Media metadata, cover art, posters, links, and search results may come from third-party providers such as TMDB, Open Library, Google Books, and iTunes. We do not control their availability, accuracy, rights, policies, or content ratings.

Donations are voluntary support payments. They are not subscriptions, purchases of premium access, or guarantees of feature delivery, moderation outcomes, uptime, or continued operation. Payment providers may apply separate terms and fees.

The service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free recommendations or metadata.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, My Taste Shelf is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data loss, reputational harm, or third-party content.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, where appropriate, an account notice or renewed acceptance. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
